Ten new positive coronavirus cases in Muscatine County; mayor says virus is peaking

Muscatine Mayor Diana Broderson said this morning it appears coronavirus cases are peaking in the area, but no one should let their guard down.

Since Tuesday, the have been 97 additional positive cases of Covid-19 reported in Iowa, for a total of 1,145. There are 10 new positive cases reported in Muscatine County for a total of 61.
There have been 12,821 negative cases in Iowa.

Hospitalization Status:
122 currently hospitalized
89 discharged and recovering (not updated yet)
646 never hospitalized (not updated yet)
27 deceased

“Let’s all continue following the mandates and recommendations to protect ourselves and others,” Broderson said. “None of us ever want to go through this again so let’s make sure not to jump the gun and have to start over. Continue staying home if you can and if you cannot, always maintain social distancing.”
