A Contactless Curbside Pickup Service will be implemented by the Musser Public Library and HNI Community Center starting Monday, May 4. The service will be by appointment only.

All requested materials will need to be picked up at the North Entrance (2nd Street side) of the library. The Musser Public Library and HNI Community Center is located at 408 East 2nd St.

“There will be a table near the North Entrance where we will set patrons bagged items,” Pam Collins, Musser Public Library Director, said. “The bag will have a piece of paper with the patrons’ last name on it.”

Patrons can call the library at 563-263-3065 (Ext. #1) 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Friday, May 1, 2020 to schedule an appointment for curbside pickup. Patrons may schedule a pickup up to 24 hours in advance. Patrons will be asked the make and model of vehicle they will be in when picking up materials.

Curbside pickup hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Curbside Pickup will also be offered on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During Curbside pickup, only items currently on the shelf at the Musser Public Library and HNI Community Center will be available to request. Interlibrary loans are not available at this time.

To pick up items, patrons are asked to drive east on 2nd Street from Walnut, stop at the North Entrance to pick up their item(s). After pickup patrons will need to proceed east, turn right into the Library parking lot, turn right at the alley and exit the Library parking lot onto Walnut Street.

Patrons who do not have any items being held may request up to 10 items for pickup. Once patrons are notified that their hold(s) are available, they will need to call the library at (563) 263-3065 ext. 1 to schedule a pickup time.

Book donations are NOT accepted at this time.

The contactless curbside pickup model provides maximum social distancing for the safety of our patrons and staff. Library staff will use cloth face coverings and nitrile gloves in accordance with City of Muscatine workplace safety policy and CDC guidelines. The library encourages patrons to wear masks during curbside pickup.
