Muscatine County on Wednesday reported 20 additional coronavirus cases, for a total of 435 — and one additional death for a total of 17.

Mayor Diana Broderson said 2,085 tests have performed in the county, and 189 people have recovered.

Statewide, there were 293 additional positive cases for total of 10,404 on Wednesday and 12 addition deaths for a total of 219.

More than 63,000 tests have been performed and 3,803 people have recovered.

In her daily address, Broderson noted that Wednesday was National Nurses Day and the beginning of National Nurses Week which ends May 12.

“Although, I would argue that we should celebrate them everyday. I heard Craig Melvin say this morning that ‘caring for one is love, caring for all is nursing.’ Please join me in thanking all Nurses for their commitment and service!” Broderson wrote.
