Sunnybrook at Muscatine Assisted Living and Memory Care this week announced their fourth annual Barbecue for Badges, a public safety appreciation lunch.

“We would like to invite all local police officers, firefighters, sheriff’s department, paramedics, and valuable first responders to join us in a celebration of all they do for our community,” Sunnybrook said in a news release.

The lunch will take place in Sunnybrook’s parking lot on Wednesday, May 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The food will be served in a contactless “drive-up” style to ensure hassle free, worry free delivery.

“We are excited to continue the annual barbecue event despite the current restrictions in place as our appreciation and gratitude towards first responders is higher than ever,” Sunnybrook said.
