No curbside collection Monday, city offices closed

Curbside collection of refuse, yard waste, bulky waste, and recycling will not be conducted on Monday, May 25, in honor of Memorial Day. City offices will also be closed on Monday.

The City reminds residents that, on this first holiday of the summer season, the restrictions limiting gatherings to fewer than 10 people remain in place, and encourages residents to follow the guidelines of social distancing and personal hygiene.

The City encourages residents to pause, at some point during Memorial Day, and remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve the freedoms we enjoy.

There will be nor curbside refuse or yard waste collection on Monday, May 25, 2020. Residents on the Monday route will have their refuse collected on Tuesday, March 26, 2020, along with the regular Tuesday route.

Monday’s recycling route will be collected on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, with Tuesday’s route collected on Wednesday, Wednesday’s on Thursday, Thursday’s on Friday, and Friday’s on Saturday.

All buildings of the City of Muscatine remain closed to the public at this time. Administrative offices at Muscatine City Hall will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, with staff available to answer questions by phone or email.

The Compost Facility will also be closed on Monday, May 25, 2020. The Facility will reopen on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Please remember that only those with a Compost Facility sticker are allowed to bring yard waste to the facility at this time.
