One person was rescued and hospitalized for smoke inhalation and a firefighter suffered heat exhaustion fighting a Tuesday morning house fire in the 500 block of Liberty Street.
Both the person rescued and the firefighter were taken by ambulance to Trinity Muscatine, and both are expected to recover.
The fire remains under investigation.
