City officials: Letter about National Guard deployment is a fake

A letter circulating in Clinton County warning that the National Guard will be deployed to shut down cities is untrue.

Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Joyce Flinn stated at a briefing Wednesday that the Iowa National Guard WILL NOT be deployed to shut down cities.

The letter claims that businesses will be shut down, and a two-week quarantine required for all citizens across the country.
