Muscatine County Extension and Outreach chair Lance Rowell is pleased to introduce Heidi Hoffman as the new County Director.
Under the direction of the Extension Council, the director carries out the land-grant mission of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. This includes the implementation of educational programming, coordination of county staff and reporting on programs.
Regional Director, Jeff Macomber notes Heidi’s education and experience is a great fit to engage all Iowans in research, education and extension experiences to address current and emerging real-life challenges. She has a Bachelor of Arts form Central College and Master of Science from University of Nevada Reno. Her experiences include building programming and partnerships, volunteer and staff development, grant development and management.
Heidi was born and raised in Muscatine. Most recently she was site manager for the Muscatine Heart Study through the University of Iowa, College of Public Health. Her programing interest includes health and wellbeing across all ages.
