At approximately 8:15am on Thursday, October 22nd a Muscatine Community School District bus was involved in an accident with a semi truck. Details of the crash are still under investigation. The driver of the semi truck was okay and the MCSD bus driver sustained minor injuries and was transported via MCSD staff to Unity Point Hospital for treatment. The MCSD bus is a total loss resulting from the accident.
“While I am extremely thankful both drivers appear to be okay, I am also glad there were NO students on the bus at the time of the accident. Thank you to the emergency responders for arriving quickly to the scene and directing traffic.” Ryan Castle, Director of Operations.
