Muskies at Bettendorf playoff football preview

Familiar foes face off in the second round of the 4A football playoffs. The Muscatine Muskies (3-4) take a trip to Bettendorf (4-2). These teams played three weeks ago with the Bulldogs taking a 21-7 victory at MHS.

Muscatine is lead offensively by a pair of speedsters QB Eli Gaye and RB Tim Nimely. The two have accounted for over 1,000 yds of offence and 9 tds this season. Defensively the Muskies are lead by DT Togeh Deseh and LB Jorge Ocampo. Deseh has racked up 23 tackles with 12 coming for loss. Ocampo leads the team with 48.

Bettendorf is lead offensively by QB Zach Garton and RB Ryan Cole. The seniors have picked up over 1,100 yds and 13 tds on the season. Defensively the Bulldogs are lead by Bradley Hill and Ryan Cole. Hill leads the team with 38 tackles, 29 of which have come of the solo variety. Cole on the other hand has 28.5 tackles, 25 solo from his corner position.

This playoff matchup can be heard on KWPC, AM 860 and FM 95.1. Brian Mussehl and Jim Miller bring you pregame starting at 6:45 pm. The game will kickoff at 7 pm.
