The West Liberty Comets (5-2) travel Friday to Williamsburg to take on the Raiders (8-0). It is a battle for a place in the IHSAA State Quarter finals.
The Comets are lead on offense by junior running back Jahsiah Galvan. He has rushed for over 1,300 yds and 11 TDs on the season. Defensively the Comets have made a living making the big play. They have 26 tackles for lose, 4 fumble recoveries and 5 interceptions on the season.
The Raiders will be lead by a balanced offense. Senior quarterback Levi Weldon has thrown for over 1,000 yds and 15 TDs. While rushers Riley Holt and Carson Huedepohl have combine for more than 1,000 yds on the ground and 17 TDs. The real story this season has been the Raider defense. They have not given up a point in 3 games (Sept. 25th vs. Mid-Prairie). They have tallied 66 tackles for lose, 6 fumble recoveries, and 10 interceptions.
