Parking restrictions on West 8th Street November 16-17

Press release:

Parking restrictions will be in place on West 8th street from Iowa Avenue to Broadway next week as Phase 4C of the West Hill Sanitary and Storm Sewer Separation Project begins to wrap up.

KE Flatwork, Inc., has reached substantial completion of Phase 4C work Friday (Nov. 13) with the tentative schedule to have West 8th Street open to traffic by the end of the work day on Friday, Nov. 20. That date, however, is dependent on weather conditions and any unexpected problems encountered.

The north side of West 8th Street will be closed to parking on Monday, Nov. 16, as KE Flatwork, Inc., cleans and seals the joints in the north half of the new pavement. The south side of West 8th Street will be closed to parking on Tuesday, Nov. 17, for cleaning and sealing of the joints in that half of the new pavement.

All underground work and pavement restoration has been completed in the Phase 4C area. Final landscaping, cleanup, and completion of punch list items will occupy most of next week.
