A 25-year-old Muscatine man faces two dozen counts after he was arrested Tuesday morning in Davenport trying to flee from police for a second time this month, including driving across a golf course to elude officers.
Isaiah Lino Sanchez was reportedly driving a car on May 7 that police in Bettendorf allege was involved in a hit-and-run.
After officers attempted to pull Sanchez over, he took off in the vehicle and eventually eluded police by driving through a yard and the Palmer Hills Golf Course.
Monday night, Sanchez was located by police driving a different car with stolen plates. Another chase commenced, with speeds topping 100 mph at one point, before ending when he crashed near the intersection of Kimberly and Elsie avenues in Davenport.
He tried to flee on foot, but was subdued by an Iowa state trooper with a Taser. Sanchez was taken to Genesis Medical Center East for evaluation, then released into custody of police.
He faces a total of 24 misdemeanor counts, including reckless driving, eluding and theft, and was being held at the Scott County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
