There is a potential for very heavy rainfall totals Thursday and Friday in the region, with a threat of flash flooding where the heaviest rains fall.
The Quad Cities National Weather Service office says at least two inches of rain is possible, with a swath of three to as much as six inches possible.
In addition, the Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a slight risk (level 2 of severe weather for Thursday. Forecasters say damaging winds and large hail appear to be the main threat beyond the heavy rain Thursday.
