Electric vehicle charging program, code amendment, ARPA funding updates on city council agenda Thursday

Three presentations highlight the agenda for the Muscatine City Council In-Depth session Thursday (July 8) including one by Muscatine Power & Water on their electric vehicle charging program.

The Council will also hear a presentation on the amendment to the Property Maintenance Code and be given an update on where the City stands on the use of the American Rescue Plan Act funds.

The City Council will meet in the Council Chambers at Muscatine City Hall Thursday with the meeting open to the public with certain qualifications. A virtual meeting will also be held for those who cannot attend in person.

Citizens interested in attending the meeting will be able to sit together as long as they leave a seat open between groups. Citizens who are fully vaccinated will not have to wear a mask but those who have not been vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask while inside City Hall.

While public access to the Council Chambers is permitted, those who wanting to watch or participate in the meeting but not attend in person can do so through the virtual GoToMeeting portal. Information on joining the session and how to make a comment during the meeting is listed below. The session will also be broadcast live on the City of Muscatine YouTube channel and on Muscatine Power & Water Cable Channel 2.
