Muscatine Power and Water asking for your best nighttime photos for calendar contest

2022 will mark the 100th year of the Electric Utility – what better way to honor the anniversary than by displaying MPW services with night photos of a lit-up community in our 2022 Muscatine After Dark community calendar?!

Will your photo be one of our featured photographs in the calendar? Here’s the details and info you’ll need to submit your photos with the possibility of winning bragging rights if your photo is selected:

Participation:

All images must be night-time photos of the Muscatine and Fruitland areas. Images can be “photoshopped” to create or highlight features in your image(s) but the original or base image must be your original work. Open to all amateurs, hobbyists, and professional photographers. Need some tips on taking night-time photos? Take a look at some we’ve curated here.

Image Specifications:

300 DPI JPEG, PNG, RAW or TIFF preferred. If you’re using a smartphone camera, use your highest resolution setting or HDR. Image/File size should be large enough to be enlarged/reduced to print smoothly on an 11×14 page with no “sawtooth” edges or blurriness. Layered PhotoShop files using specialty lighting effects should be merged or flattened prior to sending.
