Trinity Muscatine Public Health reminds everyone age 5 and up can now get a COVID vaccine


Trinity Muscatine Public Health reminds all Iowans age 5 and above that they are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Those aged 5-17 can receive only the Pfizer vaccine. Iowans age 18 and older can receive the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson and Johnson vaccines.

Children ages 5 to 11 can get their shots from Trinity Muscatine Public Health, 1609 Cedar Street, on Wednesday and Friday. Appointments are required at 563-263-0122. Local pediatricians and pharmacies are also offering the shots.

According to the update posted Wednesday on the health department’s Facebook page, there have been 6,958 positive tests and 117 deaths in Muscatine County since the pandemic began in March 2020.
