Muscatine High School’s girls swimming and diving had a great showing at the state meet on Friday and Saturday in Marshalltown.
Regional Swimmer of the Year Abby Lear finished fifth in the 50 yard freestyle and sixth in the 100 freestyle, while Abby and Cate Lear, Madeline Fisher and Elysse Shippee placed 8th in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
Also competing at states was Eve Millage, who teamed with the Lear sisters and Fisher in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
As a team, the Muskies placed 15th with 52 points in the state meet, and finished third at regionals to cap the 2021 season that included first place at seven meets.
