A trial is underway of the two men accused of stabbing a 25-year-old man and 37-year-old woman during an incident at Headquarters Tavern in the 2100 block of Grandview on January 25.
The two victims were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Two others were also cut during the scuffle.
Dayton Earl Michael Elliot, 26, was arrested in Polk County in July on a Muscatine warrant for willful injury, and then transported to the Muscatine County Jail where he was charged with attempted murder and gang participation.
Alejandro Antonio Flores, 23, of Letts, Iowa, was arrested on January 25 on two counts of attempted murder.
The trial began Tuesday in Muscatine County Court.
