The family of a Muscatine firefighter and a Jefferson School teacher are grieving following the loss of their 15-year-old daughter on Christmas morning.

Heidi and Andy Summitt unexpectedly lost their beloved daughter Cameron Summitt, a sophomore at Muscatine High School, according to a GoFundMe page established for the family.

More from the GoFundMe post:

As most of you know, Cameron had a smile that would light up any room. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She had her future planned out and was working hard in school to have most of her 2 year degree done by the time she graduated high school. Cameron loved her family deeply as she also loved her friends with that same passion.

If you are able, please consider donating towards helping the Summitt family through this unexpected loss. Andy is a Captain with the Muscatine Fire Department along with being an AirCare EMT with Medforce. Heidi is a school teacher with the Muscatine Community School District and is currently a Kindergarten teacher at Jefferson School.

Cameron will be deeply missed by her parents, her sisters Bailey Miller and Morgan Summitt, nephew Caysen, her grandparents Dennis and Diane Miller, George and Julie Reimers, Tom and Tracy Summitt, many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends, framily, and her boyfriend Conner Christiansen.

Thank you all for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers. They are greatly needed and appreciated.
