Winter storm watch issued for heavy snow on Friday and Saturday

A fast moving storm system will cross the region to wrap up the work week with the potential for heavy snowfall on Friday and into Saturday.

A winter storm watch has been issued for Muscatine, parts of eastern Iowa, west central Illinois and far northeast Missouri beginning at noon Friday.

The Quad Cities office of the National Weather Service is currently predicting between 2 and 4 inches of snow in Muscatine County, with locally higher amounts possible.
