Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry names Volunteer of the Year

Diana Tank was recently awarded the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (GMCCI) Volunteer of the Year at last weeks GMCCI Annual Dinner and Recognition Night.

Diana has been involved in numerous community organizations including but not limited to the Muscatine County Arts Council, Melon City Bike Club, Muscatine Trails Committee, Relay For Life/American Cancer Society, Muscatine’s Healthy Hometown Committee, and Muscatine’s Community Improvement Action Team.

One of the most critical attributes of an amazing volunteer is that she shows up, reliably, every time. She spends her volunteer time improving Muscatine. She leads and makes things happen. During the last COVID-filled year, Tank actively participated in the events provided on the riverfront.

Her volunteer work with the Muscatine County Arts Council encouraged and then assisted with more effective and creative marketing. The Relay for Life efforts have benefitted from her ideas and hard work. Her commitment to bike safety finds her at a Bike Club table at events counseling young kids, handing out donated helmets and sharing information on trails.

According to the GMCCI, “she truly displays a love for this community and her enthusiasm and energy are contagious.”

Congratulations, Diana!
