One person was killed in a train and truck crash in Durant Friday, May 13, 2022, according to Iowa State Patrol.
Officials say troopers responded to Veil Avenue, east of Durant about 7:38 a.m. The road was closed to traffic. The driver of the truck was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, but later died due to injuries, troopers said.
