The Muscatine Police Department (MPD) has tentatively identified the deceased male that was located in Discovery Park last Friday as 21-year-old Trevor Allen Wixom. The MPD is awaiting final confirmation of the deceased from the State Pathologist.
Wixom was reported as a missing person in October 2022. For the past several months, the MPD has been conducting an ongoing investigation in an effort to locate Wixom.
MPD responded to Muscatine’s Discovery Park at around 10:45 a.m. Friday on a report of a possibly deceased person found within the boundaries of the park. Investigators from the Muscatine Police Department, Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office, and Muscatine County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
