No injuries were reported but an apartment building and a vehicle were struck by several rounds of gunfire that occurred Wednesday night at Cedar Parks Apartments. No arrests have been made but the Muscatine Police Department (MPD) continues to investigate the shooting incident.
MPD responded at 9:41 p.m. Wednesday to the report of gunshots being fired at 1816 Logan St. (Cedar Park Apartments).The preliminary investigation determined that multiple rounds had been fired across the parking lot, but no one had been hurt. An apartment building and a vehicle were struck by multiple rounds of gunfire.
Officers recovered two handguns at the scene that were believed to be used during the incident. Several people were interviewed but no arrests were made. The shooting was believed to be a targeted incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Officers were on scene for several hours as the investigation took place.
