Muscatine High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Erin Gould as the next Muskie Girls Swimming Head Coach and Reese Kilburn as Assistant Coach.

“I feel very privileged for the opportunity to join the team and coaching staff at MHS,” says Erin Gould, “and I can’t wait to see the program transform for the swimmers now and in the future.”

Erin Gould graduated from Muscatine High School in 2004 and swam for the MHS girl’s team for four years. She then went to Western Illinois University and swam there all four years while earning her bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Erin works as an Executive Assistant for the Stanley Center for Peace and Security in Muscatine. Erin is married to Lorin and has one child, Lincoln. Reese Kilburn graduated from Muscatine High School in 2015 and swam for the Muskie Boys Swim team. He was part of two state championship teams during his time at Muscatine High School, then went on to the University of Iowa for college. Reese works as a level 3 special education teacher at Susan Clark Jr. High.

“We are excited to have Erin join the Muskie Family. She brings great passion, enthusiasm, and experience to the table,” says Mike Henson, Activities Director at MHS. “We can’t wait to see where both she and Reese take the Girls Swim program. Judd Anderson is a great coach and has dedicated his life to the MHS Swim program. The fact that we can bring aboard two of his former swimmers is a wonderful way to transition the program.”

Erin & Reese take the reigns after the retirement of long-time MHS Girls Swim Coach Judd Anderson.
