Muscatine Community School District announces Susan Clark Jr. High principal – Voice Of Muscatine

The Muscatine Community School District is pleased to announce Jennifer Fridley as the next principal of Susan Clark Junior High. This appointment is pending MCSD School Board approval at the regular meeting on Monday, June 12, 2023. Mrs. Fridley has worked as assistant principal at Susan Clark Junior High since it’s inception in 2020.

“I am grateful for the trust and confidence placed in me for the role of principal of Susan Clark Junior High. It has been an honor to return home to serve the Muscatine community.” says Jennifer Fridley. “Working collaboratively with our students, families, and extraordinary staff, we are dedicated to sustaining a culture where every student feels valued, respected, and supported in preparing them for success in their academic and personal lives.” 

Jennifer Fridley graduated from Muscatine High School in 1989 and then went to the University of Northern Iowa, majoring in Behavior Science and Secondary Education. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Stephen F. Austin University in Texas. Mrs. Fridley began her career teaching junior high school in San Antonio and continued teaching in Houston and Tomball, Texas, where she served several roles in administration. 

“Jen has demonstrated great leadership in her role as assistant principal at SCJH. says Clint Christopher, Superintendent. “She brings some tremendous experience, including at the district office level, while living & working in Texas. I’m confident she will continue to move the building in a positive direction.”

The school district will be posting the opening for Susan Clark Junior High assistant principal and will begin the process of finding a suitable candidate.

Mrs. Fridley’s first day as principal of Susan Clark Junior High will be July 1, 2023.
