No injuries were reported during a fire at the Muscatine Power & Water Plant on the morning of Tuesday, May 16, 2023. The Muscatine Fire Department responded at 7:56 a.m. to a report of a coal fire in a dust collector.
The fire was brought under control in 20 minutes, but crews remained on the scene until 10:30 a.m. due to hot spots in the system.
