Lane restrictions in place on Stewart Road through Friday – Voice Of Muscatine

(Submitted/City of Muscatine)

Lane restrictions are now in place on Stewart Road as of today, February 19, through Friday, February 23, according to the Muscatine Department of Public Works.

Portable traffic lights will be in place on Stewart Road at the intersection with Wallace Street for a temporary work zone while a broken concrete panel is removed and replaced by the City contractor. The road work will require a one lane closure for the work to be completed.

DPW indicated that the work should be completed by Feb. 23, depending on the weather, with traffic returned to the normal two-way configuration once the concrete has had time to cure.

For safety, traffic on Wallace Street heading east toward Stewart Road should use Wisconsin Street instead, but traffic turning from Stewart Road onto Wallace Street will not be impeded.
