During a recent City Council meeting held on April 4, Mayor Brad Bark signed two respective proclamations to be recognized in  Muscatine.

May 5-11, 2024 has been declared Drinking Water Week. Ryan Streck, Director of Utility Service Delivery at Muscatine Power & Water, was present at the meeting to accept the proclamation.

April 26 has been declared Arbor Day. Melissa Baker, Parks Maintenance Supervisor for the Parks and Recreation Department, was on hand to accept the proclamation. Baker noted that Muscatine has been named a TreeCity USA for the past 32 years due to the cities urban forestry efforts.
