In a country where we celebrate and honor many cultural and religious holidays, Labor Day is unique in that it celebrates American workers according to the Farmer’s Almanac. Labor Day is a holiday dedicated to honoring the contributions United States workers have made to the strength and prosperity of our country.

The City of Muscatine offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, as we take a moment at the unofficial end of summer to honor the hard work and dedication of our staff and the workers throughout our community for their many contributions.
