Several events throughout Muscatine this weekend will result in some streets being blocked off, some areas of parking restrictions, and some amenities unavailable to the general public.

NextGen Motors 5K Run/Walk

NextGen Motors will be sponsoring their third annual Mental Health 5K Run or 1 Mile Walk on Saturday, Sept. 21. Check in begins at 8:30 a.m. with speakers at 9 a.m. and the 5K/1Mile start at 9:30 a.m. Sara Carlson and Paige Bedenbender will be the speakers.

Drivers can anticipate closure or delays on Cleveland Street between NextGen Motors and Eastern Iowa Landscape Services, and at Harrison and Colorado streets as the course follows the Running River Trail System into Weed Park and retraces course out of the park.

Drivers should find alternate routes if possible as the race is conducted Saturday morning.
