Republicans make clean sweep, incumbents retain offices


There were two seats for Board of Supervisor up for grabs. In District 3 Scott Sauer (Rep) beat out Ed Askew (Dem) by a 59% to 41% vote. While District 4 had Nathan Mather (Rep) over Michelle Servadio-Elias (Dem) 57% to 41%.

The County Auditor race was taken by Tibe Vander Linden (Rep) who received almost 59% of the vote. She will take over for Leslie A. Soule who is retiring after 25 years of service.

As for the County Sheriff, Quinn Riess will hold on to the position. Riess was victorious over Mike Channon 10,717 to 9,176.

Lastly a vote for County Attorney was on the ballot as Alan Ostergren stepped down from the position in May. The seat will be filled by James P. Barry as he won over William B. Tharp by a 1,200 vote margin.
