Get your steps in for an important cause at Friday’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s event

Get your steps in for a terrific cause tomorrow!

The time has come for the city of Muscatine and surrounding areas to gather at Pearl City Station for the Alzheimer’s Association’s 2022 Walk to End Alzheimer’s event happening tomorrow, Friday, September 23, at 5:50 p.m.

The 2-to-3 mile walk, which is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This philanthropic event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease, while getting in steps to benefit both the mind and body.

While there is no fee to register for the Walk, all participants are encouraged to make a personal donation to the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.

Every registered participant who achieves the fundraising minimum of $100 will receive an official Walk to End Alzheimer’s T-shirt via USPS.

Check-in for the event will be from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. followed by the opening ceremony from 5:30 to 5:45 p.m. The walk will begin promptly at 5:50 and is expected to last until 6:20 p.m.
